Grasso is still in college (at Goucher), but his all-instrumental solo debut album already marks him as a dazzlingly agile and lyrical piper. Playing 11 medleys of jigs, reels, hornpipes, and airs, Grasso combines brisk tempos with fluid phrasing, strong melodies, and inventive variation.
